Raja is absolutely right. The league has valued volume scoring in the rules. That’s why so many players hate Pat Beverly. He’s one of the only guys that has figured out how to stay defensively effective in today’s rule book.

Owners had to force the league to throw more fouls in order to protect thier investments. The refs are just doing what they're told, ultimately its the owners that make the rules.

It seems like nowadays everyone is fixated on who the "GOAT" is. No matter the sport. Although it's fun to debate, how can any athlete be singled out as the greatest of ALL time? I think voting by an era is more reasonable. Considering changes that happened (including rules) in how games are played; that can happen in a sport for a course of decades. The sport evolves. Players evolve. Saying someone was the greatest (or one of the greatest) of an era seems more reasonable to me, than ALL time.

If they think it will get eyes on their game and develop interest, they should do whatever it takes, because ultimately, sport has no intrinsic value. It is valued for it's entertainment alone. So if they can draw interest so that people are entertained, then their sport will be more valuable. "However, the fact that the highest paid women in the WNBA don't even make the same salary as the lowest paid men in the NBA is a problem. These women work hard." Well, their sport is just not valued as much because it isn't as entertaining, so the amount of work they put in is irrelevant. I would wager that the highest paid shotputter in the world doesn't get paid as much as the lowest paid NBA player, probably not even as much as the lowest paid WNBA player. Also, the garbage man, plumbers, electricians etc also get paid less than the lowest paid NBA player and they all work hard too. Intrinsicly I would say they are all far more valuable too. If your electricity goes out or you have a water leak or the garbage is piling up you kind of need all of those workers, but if the WNBA or NBA went on strike I think everyones life would carry on mostly uninterupted. Hell, even most surgeons get paid less than NBA players and I know if I had to make a choice, like building a colony on mars or something, I'd choose a surgeon over an NBA player every time. TL;DR Get over yourself ladies. Make your sport worth watching and you'll get more money.

I don't have a basketball moment like this but I have a few in hockey. Best was when I was trash talked by an opponent's goalies dad. All I responded with was "I will make your son cry as he leaves the ice when he's pulled". I scored 4 goals had 3 assists. Just repeated everything his dad said to his son as I demolished them. He got pulled and looked like he was about to cry 😂 I purposely didn't score on the next goalie also just to rub it in a bit as we won by a lot anyway.

Here is the thing about this. If you make basketball your profession, you will get very good. Something just clicks. There is a big difference between playing basketball 8 hours a day and training than there is playing 1 hour a day and training. Also, playing basketball for 30 years of your life, will make you much better than the average guy.

I was never a real player but when i was young i was beating almost everyone i played against. I stopped playing when i was 27 because one of the coaches of some 3rd league or so told me that i am too old and not even good enough to play in his team. I was demotivated... Now i am 40+ yo and once in 3 years i go to a court to hop and i am still one of the best on the floor. But when some hoppers from some school league entered the game i was... You know... Anyway i still think that i gave a good fight although i lost all games to them... NBA was my dream but i gave it up. Don't give up guys, that was mistake. Believe that you can beat anyone on floor and never listen to anyone who says you can't. Just go there and fight. Don't be like me.

When I was in high school, I was a pretty good "above the rim" player. Then Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars came to our local gym!! I was just floored at how good they were WITHOUT even trying. WAY better than me (it my very best) when they were just fooling around!!! So yeah, this video is easy to believe!

When Kobe outscored the Mavericks by himself through 3 quarters. That was the best game I've seen Kobe play in my opinion. Even better than the 81. I think he had like 63 through 3 quarters and didn't even play the 4th. If that game was close and he had to play the 4th I believe he would of beaten his own mark of 81.

Beat player I’ve seen was Flight. He is such an inspiration. His footwork was incredible, his shooting was better than Steph Curry, and his hips were the highest I’ve ever seen. The only reason he didn’t get in the NBA was cause he was TOO GOOD.

So many comments talking about how “black” people think their the only ones who deal with racism and like literally no. Saying “black people r so racist towards racism” IS racism. Y’all love to pit races against each other. This about Shaq and other players being racist. All these unnecessary comments is why ppl make up race wars and why minorities stay oppressed cuz y’all love to divide.
